MATTHEW QUERCIA
Co-Founder and Coach
Teams: Sioux Falls Stampede USHL, Boston University, Michigan Tech, Wheeling Nailers/WBS Penguins.
Matthew Quercia, coach, and co-founder of Chew Dawg Hockey Academy,
is a professional hockey player for the ECHL as a member of the Wheeling Nailers. He was born and raised in Massachusetts, so he is no stranger to the New England hockey scene, starting at a young age, from club teams to college teams—he played at Boston University for three years and finished his career at Michigan Tech. Having coached many junior teams, he’s passionate about teaching young players to play the game he knows so well and the life lessons that come with it. When he’s not playing hockey, he enjoys playing golf.
THOMAS MANTY

Coach Manty was with us for year one and he’s back again! Thomas played at Philips Andover Academy and for the Aberdeen Wings before his college career began ay Brown University where he currently plays. He’s excited to be back for year two sharing his best coaching tips!​

Matt Koopman
Teams: Waterloo Black Hawks USHL, Providence College, UMass, Wheeling Nailers ECHL
Matt Koopman from Marblehead, MA, former Providence College and UMass Amherst standout, now playing for the Wheeling Nailers, the ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins. His dedication and skill continue to shine on the ice and were excited for him to bring that to CDHA 2024!

Matt Filipe is a skilled professional ice hockey player currently playing for t ht Wilkes Barre/Scranton Penguins (AHL). Matt began his professional career at Northeastern University, where he played for the Huskies. After college, Matt moved on to the Providence Bruins in the AHL before joining the ECHL playing for the Maine Mariners and now the AHL with the WBS Penguins. Coach Matt is ready to help players improve their game.

MARC GATCOMB
Teams: University of Connecticut, Kalamzoo Wings ECHL, Abbotsford Canucks AHL
Marc Gatcomb is a professional ice hockey player for the Abbotsford Canucks (ECHL). His talent led to his recruitment by the University of Connecticut, where he played for the UConn Huskies. After college, Marc transitioned to professional hockey, joining the ECHL playing for the Kalamazoo Wings and then the AHL for the Abbotsford Canucks. He's is excited to join CDHA for the 2024 clinic!

AIDAN MCDONOUGH
Teams: Northeastern University, Abbotsford Canucks, AHL, Vancouver Canucks NHL
Coach McDonough played at Thayer Academy before going to Northeastern University to continue playing hockey. He is currently playing for the Abbotsford Canucks and was called up by their affiliate NHL team, the Vancouver Canucks where he scored his first NHL goal. Coach McDonough is thrilled to join the team this year!
